The TAC is a group of elected officials from local jurisdictions who, together with NC DOT, decide on what roads will built and in what order for those jurisdictions. The elected officials who sit on our TAC are charged with making sound transportation planning decisions and with representing their constituents.

 It is made up of elected officials from Durham, Orange and Chatham Counties, as well as from the cities in those counties. Included from Durham are

John Best (Durham City Council)

Becky Heron (Durham Co. Commissioners)

Lewis Cheek (Durham City Council) Alternate

Ellen Reckhow (Durham Co. Commissioners) Alternate

Ms. Heron chairs the TAC.
