Summer Job Education and Outreach Program Assistant with the Eno River Association

The purpose of the program assistant is to expand the function of the Eno River Association educational programming and outreach projects. Duties include serving as assistant director for 2 weeks of iWalk the Eno Science and Nature Day Camp for elementary students, and 1 week of Eno River Field Station Environmental Science Academy for middle and high school students. Operating the Eno Environmental Education for Kids at the Eno River Festival. Leading public and school environmental education programs. Assisting with the production of the annual Eno River calendar. The education program is vital to supporting the organization functions of advocacy and land protection to care for and protect the Eno River and adjacent natural habitat.
The internship is budgeted for 400 hours over an 11 ½ week period allowing for some flexibility. During the three weeks of Eno camps, work hours may exceed 40 per week and require arriving before and leaving after the participants, and will include weekend work. Training to prepare for camps will occur on a Saturdays. Programs and Eno River Festival will require some evenings and weekend work and work on the July 4 holiday. Must be 18 or older. Dates of June 18-22, 25-29 & July 4, 7, 23-27 are required work dates. Pay rate is $10/hr.
