EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR – Search Announcement

The Eno River Association (ERA) seeks an Executive Director with a passion for land protection and the inspiration to bring new vision and growth to a highly respected grassroots organization that is proud of its half-century of conservation accomplishments and deep connection to its community. Now in its 53rd year, ERA has protected more than 7,000 acres, which are largely contained in five public parks, along the Eno River in Durham and Orange Counties in central North Carolina. ERA owns and manages 277 acres of protected lands and holds conservation easements on 829 acres.  Together, these lands benefit water quality, biological diversity, wildlife habitat, and productive working farms and forests. The ERA’s annual Festival for the Eno is in its 40th year and brings 20,000 people together each July to celebrate the Eno while its year-round educational programs and seasonal hikes bring thousands of people to the river to enjoy its beauty and learn about its history and benefits to the community.  The successful candidate will manage a staff of six and will be an experienced and innovative leader, strategic relationship builder, and skillful advocate, fundraiser and community networker with a talent for developing consensus.  Learn more at www.MossandRoss.com.
