Our Eno River community loves to come together and celebrate the great work we do along the river. Special events take place throughout the year at locations in Orange and Durham counties.
HAIKU HIKE ON THE ENO
Saturday, October 6, 9:30 am Meeting Location: Eno River State Park – Fews Ford Access Enjoy a 4-mile hike along the Eno. During our break on some large boulders along the river, we’ll have an opportunity to sit and listen to the rapids and write haiku poems about what we are experiencing along the hike. Writing and sharing poems are optional. There is a chance that one or two might be included in a future Eno River wall calendar (see the 2018 calendar). Bring your own writing gear. Also bring water and wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes. We’ll be on rough dirt trails with some notable hills and we will be hiking at a moderately fast pace. We’ll meet in the very last parking lot (the big one) where the picnic area restroom facility and water fountain are located.
