Paved or Accessible Trails
Eno River State Park – Most trails within Eno River State Park are not recommended for those with limited mobility. However, accessible picnic shelters, restrooms, and short paved trails are available at the Fews Ford and Cole Mill Road entrances.
Hillsborough Riverwalk – This paved, accessible, urban greenway stretches about 1.8 miles along the Eno River between Gold Park in western Hillsborough and trails east of town.
Historic Occoneechee Speedway – Though not officially designated as accessible, many of our neighbors enjoy the trails available at this site off downtown Hillsborough. The approximately 1 mile loop around the former racetrack is great for strollers and folks looking for a flat, wide, crushed gravel trail.
Little River Regional Park – Follow this quarter-mile paved trail through gardens and green spaces at the entrance of the park.
There are currently no universally-accessible fishing sites along the Eno. The The NC Wildlife Resources Commission maintains some public ADA-compliant fishing areas, but none are currently within the watershed.
