This spring, thanks to the generosity of donors, including an anonymous donor of a $20,000 match, the Eno River Association reached our $40,000 fundraising goal to purchase a new tractor for our stewardship work.
Now, our brand-new Kubota tractor (nicknamed “Clementine”) has a home at the Confluence Natural Area, where our land and stewardship team will use it to perform trail maintenance, invasive species removal, habitat restoration, and the day-to-day care of the lands we all love.
To us, a tractor is more than a tool. This invaluable tool will enable us to restore disused agricultural land into a Piedmont prairie ecosystem home to a diverse ecosystem of pollinators, native plants, and native animal species.
