In 2026, the Eno River Association is celebrating 60 years of protecting the Eno River and the lands and waters that make it so special.
What began in the 1960s as a small group of neighbors standing up for a threatened river has grown into a leading land and river conservation organization—thanks to the passion and support of our community.
From the early efforts to protect the Eno and establish Eno River State Park to today’s work conserving land, advocating for clean water, and connecting people to nature, our mission has remained the same: to protect the Eno for generations to come.
None of this would be possible without our members, volunteers, donors, partners, and supporters. Every trail, preserve, and program reflects decades of collective care for this river.
Throughout 2026, we’ll be sharing stories from our archives and highlights from the past 60 years. Stay tuned as we celebrate our history—and look ahead to the future of the Eno.
Sincerely,

Hsi Chen
