Dear Friends,
As the nights grow longer and colder, you may find yourself spending less time at the Eno’s parks and preserves. There is a certain beauty in the stillness of winter along the Eno that we hope you get to enjoy in between family gatherings and cozy nights in.
This year has been a year of change—across our community, our organization, and the landscapes we love. Here at the Eno River Association, we’ve experienced transitions of our own: new leadership, new directions, and new challenges. Yet one thing has remained constant—our steadfast commitment to protecting the natural, cultural, and historic resources of this special place we cherish.
We are investing in long-term resilience across the Eno and Little River watersheds through every season. Because of our generous donors and volunteers, we are:
- Protecting land and riparian buffers to absorb stormwater and reduce flooding.
Restoring carbon sinks by planting native species that strengthen climate resilience. - Empowering youth through our school programs, along with our iWalk and Field Station camps.
- Engaging our community through hikes, workshops, and stewardship workdays.
- Supporting our partners as they recover from Hurricane Chantal and prepare for future impacts.
We are truly grateful for your continued support, which helps us to conserve land, steward our preserves, and bring Eno environmental education to our whole community.
We wish you and your loved ones a warm and joyful holiday season.
Warmly,
The Eno River Association
