The Eno River Association has helped protect over 7,500 acres of open, natural space in the Eno River Basin since 1966. Nearly three-quarters of this land is open to the public for low-impact recreation and nature study thanks to partnerships with local and state agencies. This is unique among land trusts like ours.

The Association and its partners responsibly manage all lands to protect the unique conservation values of each and provide public access when appropriate. Over 55 miles of trails, river access, and recreation facilities provide our community with opportunities to seek solace, activity, and community in the great outdoors.

We want to hear from you! In alignment with the Eno River Association’s commitment to fostering inclusive and accessible natural spaces for individuals of all backgrounds, abilities, and identities, we are initiating an “Accessibility Audit” of trails along the Eno River. We hope to gather information and insights from members of our community who experience disabilities or encounter challenges accessing or feeling at ease on our trails. This data will be used to create detailed, publicly accessible trail descriptions to serve as a resource to easily find trails that fit peoples’ specific needs. If you would like to contribute to the Accessibility Audit based on a visit you’ve taken to a trail in the Eno River basin, click here.
